Overseeing the interaction design, visual design, user research and testing for the family of Nortek Security & Control products. Designed the user experience for e3 Telephone Entry systems. Designed the UX for the Rely Security Panel; including the panel, dealer website, customer website, and mobile applications. In addition, working on a variety of other home automation user interfaces and security panels. Coordinates with various product stakeholders (both internal and external). Managed various contractors on multiple projects.

Developed a variety of software prototypes for current and future mobile, wearable and desktop user interfaces. These prototypes were developed various solutions for use both on device and PC-based. Worked with interaction designers, graphic artists, and usability experts to develop a variety of prototypes and product demonstrations.

Managed all non-experiment based software efforts. Developed and co-designed a wide range of advanced software prototypes from multi-user simulations to task management solutions. Worked with human factors specialists, subject matter experts, and others in an Agile Design process. Conducted usability testing, user focus groups, and aided in data analysis. Investigated new technology and HCI research.

Developed ConfIGAP, an application designed to help you create the config.xml files used by Adobe® PhoneGap™ Build. Was a technical reviewer for several O’Reilly Press publications. Developed over 15 different mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms for clients like NASA, Adobe, and Qualcomm. Regularly invited to speak at conferences such as Adobe MAX, 360|Flex, Web 2.0 Expo, and various user groups. Currently an Adobe Community Professional. Co-awarded a National Science Foundation grant to design and build a collaborative digital library on nuclear issues as part of the National Science Digital Library. Developed a topic-based search engine using PHP, MySQL, and Flash. Produced and designed an award-winning CD-ROM on the Atomic Age. The accompanying website was featured on CNN’s Headline News and won a variety of awards. Was the lead programmer for a variety of commercial CD-ROM and DVD-ROM titles.
